Growing Divine Colour

We grow natural dye plants that thrive in our soil and climate and offer a diverse range of divine colours. Some of the dye plants we grow are: coreopsis, cosmos, chamomile, marigold, black hollyhock, and black pincushion. We also harvest some of our dyes from trees and shrubs growing on the farmstead.

Once the dye is extracted from the plant, the harvested plant material is composted and then returned back to the soil providing a regenerative soil cycle. Wastewater is also returned back into the gardens.

We harvest plants at their peak colour, and dry them to ensure the highest quality of colour is being preserved.

A Regenerative Colour Palette

Our skin is our most absorptive and largest organ, choosing natural dyed clothing and materials is a vital step towards regeneration for our earth. Dyes from plants are a regenerative resource and no toxic chemical adjuncts are used.

We make small batch, slow crafted, hand dyed items made from natural fibres and materials using the divine colour from buds, petals, leaves, fruit, seeds, and bark. As with everything we grow, our natural dye plants are seasonally driven, creating different colours from spring to summer to fall to winter.
